This blog in 2013

January 8, 2014

The WordPress.com stats helper monkeys have prepared a 2013 annual report for this blog.

This blog was viewed about 1,600 times in 2013. That means I’m down about 800 hits from 2012, which was in itself a pretty bad year.

Again, I cannot blame anyone but myself, as I didn’t post more than 5 new posts last year. Why? Because I have been busy working on other writing projects. Because I have spent more time updating my other blog. Because I have spent more time on social media. And last, but by no means least, because life got in the way. It tends to do that.

Knives, flashlights and…breasts!

pioneerNETTSomewhat surprisingly, the entry that drew the most traffic in 2013 was arguably one of the geekiest. My review of the trusty old Victorinox Pioneer topped the list of most viewed content. Another geeky gear review made third.

As always, my list of the year’s most ridiculous Norwegian headlines drew a lot of traffic. The post “3D-pupper, pussy-punkere og andre provokasjoner” came in second.

If you look at the top referrers to this blog, the geeky top post might not be that surprising. The gear forum EDCforums has brought a lot of traffic here.

The top search terms leading here also explain a lot, as “victorinox pioneer review” has led people to this blog almost as often as “sungame” and the spelling error “sungams”. However, the list of search terms also contains a small surprise: people searching for “pupper” (Norwegian for “tits”) have also arrived here rather frequently. I bet they were disappointed by the lack of graphic material.

All in all, it’s been another not so great year for this blog, but a great year for gear reviews and posts mentioning breasts!
