Healthy blog!

Fresher than ever?

As you can see, four of last year’s five most popular posts were written before 2010. According to the stat monkeys, this means my writing has staying power, and they rate my blog “Fresher than ever” on their so-called Blog-Health-o-Meter.

Alas, there is another way to read their carefully amassed statistics: While I wrote about two posts a month last year, and uploaded just as many pictures, the content I produced in 2010 just wasn’t good enough. Or maybe not original enough. Or somebody else did it better than me.

Anyway, my posts from 2010 were clearly not as original, relevant and overall interesting to as many readers as my older writings. Therefore, I see these numbers not as a pat on the back, but more as swift kick in the somewhat lower posterior region, and I will try to do better in 2011.
